My father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all Baptist preachers. Therefore, I was raised in a conservative home with traditional Christian values. I attend Faith Baptist Church in Decatur each Sunday with my family. As your next Secretary of State, please know that my faith will guide me in the policies I support, the actions I take, and the way I treat other people. My voting record in the State Legislature was 100% pro-life, and I will always support Christian cultural values that have served America so well.
Conservative
Many political candidates claim to be conservative because it gets them votes. Few of them actually have the track record to prove it. I was awarded the Conservative Policy Warrior award by the Alabama Policy Institute in 2020, and the Club for Growth Foundation rated me the #1 legislator in Alabama for my economic voting record. I consider myself a fiscal and social conservative.
Republican
When I ran for State Representative in House District 3, I flipped an “unwinnable” seat that had been held by the Democrats for 140 years. I fully support the principles and platform of the Alabama Republican Party. I also served at the highest levels of the Alabama Republican Party on the Steering Committee as a Vice-Chairman for the 4th & 5th Congressional Districts for 4 years.

Thank you for visiting my website! If you’re looking to vote for someone who is serious about election integrity, then you’ve come to the right place. Although Alabama elections are ranked #2 in the nation, there is more work to do to secure our ballots and our election processes.
For instance, we are the only state in America that doesn’t have some type of election audit. Our ballots need to be watermarked so a poll worker or an election machine can tell a real ballot from a fake one. We need a new Division of Election Integrity in the Secretary of State’s office to investigate voter fraud and clean up our voter rolls. I want to be your next Secretary of State. My record on election integrity is strong; as State Representative I supported the ban on curbside voting, supported a bill criminalizing those who cast ballots in multiple states in the same election cycle, and supported a bill banning “Zuckerbucks” (private money being spent on election workers and equipment) that would have created vulnerabilities in our process. As your State Auditor the last 4 years, I appointed Board of Registrars members who were serious about election integrity and keeping the voter rolls clean.
